Overview

SNTF-01 Indoor Intumescent Fire-Retardant Coating is a one-component, chlorine and boric acid-free, high-solids intumescent fire-retardant coating, designed for on-site coating of internal steel structures that require protection in cellulose fires. When exposed to fire, the coating expands rapidly and foams, forming a dense and uniform fireproof insulation layer, to protect the fire protection of the substrate. At the same time, the coating has excellent physical and chemical properties, fast drying, moisture resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and good weather resistance. The coating can be widely used in the fire protection of steel structures with high decorative requirements such as industrial steel structure workshops, petroleum and petrochemical fields, shipbuilding fields, and high-rise buildings.

Construction method: spraying/brushing/roller coating

Theoretical coating consumption: 1.3kg/㎡/mm (4 times, the thinner the first time, the better, try to control it at about 0.1mm, about 4 hours after the surface is dry before applying the second time, and then control each time at about 0.15mm, until the specified thickness).

Construction References:

  1. Surface treatment: All surfaces to be coated should be clean, dry and pollution-free. All surfaces should be evaluated and treated according to ISO 8504:2000 before painting. If there is grease, it should be cleaned with solvent according to SSPC-SP1.
  2. The coating is a one-component coating, which should be thoroughly stirred by a power stirrer before construction; The diameter of the mist spraying nozzle is between 0.48~0.6mm, and the pressure is not less than 246kg/cm²; In general, no dilution is required, and no more than 5% pure water is added if needed.
  3. Do not leave the paint in the pipe, spray gun or spray equipment. Rinse all equipment thoroughly with clean water and do not use organic solvents. All unused paints should be stored in an airtight container, after a period of storage, surface crusting may appear in the unfilled container.
  4. Clean all equipment with clean water immediately after use. It is recommended to flush the spraying equipment regularly during the construction process. The frequency of cleaning depends on the amount of spray, temperature and time, including any interruptions. The remaining paint and empty cans should be disposed of in accordance with the relevant regional regulations.
  5. When using brush coating or roller coating construction, in order to achieve the specified thickness of the paint film dry film, it may be necessary to construct multiple coatings, and the construction temperature should not be lower than 3 °C. It should not be soaked often.
  6. This product is intended to be constructed only by professional construction personnel in the industrial field in accordance with the recommendations given in this manual and material safety technical manual, and this product should not be used without consulting the material safety data sheet (MSDS), all work related to construction and use of this product should be carried out in accordance with relevant national standards and regulations in terms of safety, health and environmental protection, if there are doubts about the applicability of this product, please consult the company.

Packaging, Storage & Transportation:

12 months when the temperature is 25 °C. Inspections are required after this time. Store in a dry, cool, closed environment, keep away from heat and fire.
